HIC's 10" X 6" roasting rack allows one to roast their poultry or meat without touching the bottom of the pan. This is critical to roasting as this type of cooking refers to dry heat. Without using a roast pan, the poultry or meat would boil in its own juices. Using a roasting rack is also a healthy way to prepare roasts as it allows the fat to drip off the poultry and meat and rest under the rack. Small size is perfect for use in smaller pans. Handwash with a non-abrasive cleaner.

I got these to use as racks in my steamer. They work wonderfully. However if you are going to do the same I suggest that you measure your steamer bin first. I had to modify them just a wee but I was aware of that up front.

It's a roasting rack that works and seems fairly sturdy. Perhaps a non-stick finish would make cleaning easier.
It's surprisingly hard to find a small one like this, despite the fact that it's probably big enough for most small families. This one fills the need.

Over the holidays I bought a few roasting pans but couldn't find racks for any of them.I checked in many brick&mortar stores but found nothing. I finally came here and found this one. It's the perfect size for the smaller roasters! The 'legs' elevate the meat so it isn't swimming in pan juices or fat. I'm glad I bought it before Amazon hiked the price up so high ;)
Now I just need to find the right size rack for my 18 inch roaster.

This rack fits perfect inside the Granite Ware 13 inch covered oval roaster unlike the Harold Imports 12 x 8 1/4 inch Oval Roasting rack that is recommended. The oval roasting rack is too wide and doesn't even clear the edge of the oval roaster but this one is an exact fit.
